How to draw using Perspective.
I strongly suspect that a good 60% of the requests I receive for lesson material is for advice on how to draw and paint in perspective!
This seems to be an area that is difficult for the beginning student as well as some more accomplished artists.
Plus, for every single piece artwork you’ll get step-by-step, easy to follow tutorials that will give you the knowledge, the confidence, and the insider secrets.
Every effort has been made to accurately represent Perspective Drawing and its potential. Please remember that each individuals success depends on his or her background, dedication, desire and motivation.
Knowing perspective will gave you confident as an artist, an illustrator, graphic artist and help you to gain quick knowledge in 3D programs in a way that you would find almost impossible to live without. It will stretch your imagination to the limit.
You can walk into any art gallery and feel confident at viewing paintings from skilled artists and able to make your own honest comments on what you see. In time you will draw without perspective lines or grids and have the ability to calculate distance of objects near or far without having any trepidation of being far wrong with your opinions on what you are am viewing.
We will NOT be using technical words to confuse the matter; you will not be reading about ‘Linear Perspective’. The drawing of three-dimensional form has conventionally been dealt with in a technique called linear perspective. Linear just means, “characterized by an emphasis on line.” Linear Perspective, therefore, is typically defined as being “a means of producing a three-dimensional image onto a two-dimensional surface by the use of lines.”
That statement taught you, and me, nothing to do with perspective so I will not be making such statement again throughout this project, this is not an history class. Stand on a level ground and look ahead of you and one of the best place is the beach. Look at the Horizon Line. Now, you are approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, how far do you think the horizon is away from you. How can you create landscape without this little knowledge.
